I have a hard time finding Plus size clothing! Do you? I am petite making it an even bigger challenge.
There are only a handful of plus retailers left. Who sells clothes now? So many stores near me have closed:
o
Dress
Barn
o
Sears
o
Fashion
Bug
o
Dots
These are a
few that are gone. Target sells larger sizes, but my local store has a very small
department and NO petite.
Talbots has well-made Plus Petite garments. It’s not always my style and it’s pricey for
my budget, but they do have good clearance sales.
I shop at Walmart. The fabric quality doesn’t always last but, I do find a few things here and there. I like their V-neck T-shirts. I buy a ton at the beginning of the season!
These tees are just long enough to cover my hips and not baggy in the shoulders. I buy several because I stain them!
Years ago, I started looking into thrift stores like Good
Will and Salvation Army. Savers wasn’t
around back then.
I have good luck finding quality goods that fit me well at
discounted prices. How many of you thrift?
“I am
thrifting today!”.
Shopping at resale stores has become so popular that it is
now a verb, “Thrifting”! I wonder if it has
been added to Webster’s dictionary. lol
In POSHMARK username @GoldenPearShop will take you to my virtual closet.
Knowing the difficulty finding larger sizes, I want to help
other curvy women shop successfully.
I hand select garments that are unworn or in quality condition
which compliment curvy figures. I am a pear shape, so I’ve had lots of shopping
experience for this style!
Like decades. Lol
The Golden Pear Shop offers many styles of clothing: Classic/Traditional, Alternative, Vintage, Prairie, Bohemian, Glitz & Animal Prints plus accessories for all seasons.
The shop has taken off!
I am now considered a top seller!
I believe it’s because I have reasonable prices and I negotiate with
buyers. Also, my choices of clothing and accessories are flattering and appeal
to a variety of shoppers. I invite you to visit The GOLDEN PEAR Shop sometime.
I started this blog, Golden Pear Chats, to have a place to share the trials and successes of my full-figured life. I want to reach out to other women and share experiences. For women to support women. On all topics including finding clothing.
Where do you shop? Do
you thrift? Have you shopped online? Do
you sew? I want to know.
