Having curves in places where I may not want them, I feel better in clothes that don't super hug me. It's a style to flaunt your curves baby! I do accent my bust, smaller waist and full hips but, not my thigh bumps, back fat, waist rolls and turkey wings. lol
Is there such a thing as being attached to a number, a size? Can an ego be stoked when "fitting" into a smaller size? Say, a 20 instead of a 26?
I wear 20 - 28 depending on the type and style of clothing. I chose not to stuff my body into a 20 and have EVERY curve show.
Nobody knows what size you are wearing ... just if you look good!
Sometimes I need a larger size to fit my hips and swim in the bustline. I have a good tailor and have the bodice taken in. It's extra money but, I feel good when I think I look good. It's worth it to me.
I would rather buy larger plus alter than buy smaller to fit my shoulders and stretch across my backside so my panty lines show.
Just saying.
Thrift shopping is a big win for me. I purchase clothes at a fraction of the retail price. If it needs altering, I am still paying less. Some ladies can sew which is the best for the budget!
Have you ever been attached to a size? Does a number affect how you feel about yourself? Let me know.
